The big day is almost here. So before you pack your coolers and set off for the Sevilla Golf Course, here are some pointers to ensure that the teams are ready for the day’s events:-
- EVENT DETAILS-
Date:- Sunday 7th June, 2015
Time:- 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Location:- Sevilla Golf Course, Couva (Please pay attention to the maps provided)
- BEST TENT COMPETITION-
While not the first thing on the list of events, upon arrival each team must ensure that their tent is decorated and ready for judging. The tent’s décor must display the team’s creativity as this is your “home” for the day.
- Ms. CARIFIN 2015-
This is the young lady you have chosen to represent your institution at the Games in the Ms. CariFin Fun/Fitness pageant. The Ms CariFin Fun/Fitness pageant is really about showcasing the participants’ intellectual and physical abilities as well as their poise and glamour. It opens with a dance routine, followed by the aerobic workout, then the question and answer segment.
- OPENING CEREMONY Schedule of Events-
Starting Time:- 1:30 p.m.
- National Anthem – institution’s flag to be held by Ms.Carifin representatives
- Inspection of Tents – The judges will inspect each tent and assign points towards determining the Best tent (See Points 2 and 6).
- The Team must provide the DJ with a special music mix to play during the Tent inspection and explain to the Judges the interpretation of the rendition (See Point 5)
- Meeting of Teams
- Main Speaker.
- Athletic Oath.
- End of Opening ceremony
- THE TEAM’S SONG –
This music or mix is primarily used to introduce the Team/Institution for Opening Ceremony and it should express their energy, identify with Game’s theme and the more successful the team is on the day the DJ would play it to help the teams celebrate their success on the day.
- “ARE YOU FAN ENOUGH?” Competition –
The “Are you fan enough?” competition is a culmination of the energy and support teams give off during the events in support of their teams’ performance. We encourage teams to come up with creative ways to cheer on for their colleagues e.g. horns, drums, pom-poms, or just plain old screaming.
Each team will have three (3) minutes to showcase their overall team spirit via a dance, rap, exercise or cheerleading routine. At LEAST five (5) members of the team must take part in the routine which will be led by your Ms.Carifin representative. Additionally, there will be judges looking out for your team’s reaction throughout the ENTIRE day.
- REGISTER EARLY–
Start registering your team members for the day’s events. There are many events on the day so familiarize yourself with all the events and get the appropriate people to represent. The list of events can be found in the event program.
- HAVE FUN!
