I am a sports enthusiast. I have been involved in sports all my life. As a child I played a lot of sports—cricket, football, table tennis, swimming, hiking, basketball, and my favorite-running. For some special reason running felt like the sport I would do for most of my life. I enjoy running and sharing the joys of running. Hence, from my teens I have been involved in organizing a number of running events in my community. I have participated in three marathons, the first two being the Palo Seco Games marathon and the third, CLICO T and T Marathon and six UWI SPEC half marathons, the last being the November 2010.
Sharing my joy and the fun of running has caused me to give back to the sport by starting CariFin (Caribbean Financial Institutions) Sports and Family Day in 1981. You could also call me a tech geek dabbling in website building, subscribing to various tech podcasts and social networks. High speed internet opened up many doors to fun and interesting tech things. I have moved to the Mac operating system and I love working with the mac platform. I do podcasts, edit videos, build website using wordpress, I am on the pulse with social marketing, using tools like twitter, Facebook, linkin etc.
For my coworkers at CBTT (Central Bank of T and T) I started a training programme. It is called CBTT Team in Training for TTUTA 10K and CLICO 5K. I also run a training programme called CariFin Team in Training for UWI Half.
Life for me is full with work, family and running. Undoubtedly even though organizing the CariFin Cross Country is hectic, I enjoy it tremendously.
