BlemanChChPort of Spain, Tuesday, May 08, 2014.  Rashad Blenman of Guardian Group returned to the third athletic event of CariFin Games, the Chancellor Challenge that took place on Wednesday May 07 2014. CariFin Games has a 4-race schedule and after missing the second event – the Green Mile he returned to impress on the Hill.  Late in the Chancellor Challenge almost at the top Blenman overtook John Donaldson of First Citizens who was comfortably running in 1st position. Blenman claimed the top spot from the former winner of this race and cross country champion. This event more than any other would indicate to participants of all three events so far how they are doing.Rashad Blenman said,   “Even though I was way behind, I knew eventually with patience  and execution I could pull it off.”

Deodath Harrikissoon of First Citizens and Lee Hay of CITI are unbeaten so far in this four part athletic series. Harrikissoon a male walker and Hay as a female runner  look like they will be unbeaten. Their wins put them in a good position to take the full series especially if they can maintain winning in the last event. Natasha David of Republic Bank is enjoying her second win in this four part series.
LeeCHa2“My training has been harder this year. I expected more of a challenge but it was not there.” said Deodath Harrikissoon after the race.

One good thing about these three events is it allows a participant  to gauge their performance in the series, as they prepare for the culminating event – The CariFin Cross Country which takes place on Sunday June 08, 2014 at Sevilla Golf Course, Couva.

This is the 23rd Edition of CariFin Games and the main purpose of  is to promote health and fitness within the financial services sector of the Caribbean, also camaraderie, friendly rivalry, friendship, and a platform to showcase athletics and sporting excellence.
