Good Bye – Urban Challenge says Nikosi

by carifinman · 0 comments

After participating and winning all three running events in the CariFin Urban Challenge for the last four year Nikosi Mc Leish is saying good bye to these warm – up events of the CariFin Games.

He dominated and excels in all the 3 running Urban Challenges except for 2007 when he was slightly injured and decided to stay away for the One Lap Savannah but returned for the next event in the hollows to spoil the party for Rodney Julien who enjoyed the limelight in his absence.

Nikosi Mc Leish had fun and ran like a boss, the tall lanky silhouette of his frame running these events always in front would be missed as he has become a symbol of excellence and a measure consistency. He promises to go for his fourth lien on the cross country title this year and then participate only for the cross country title in 2011 and leave at the end of it while he is at the top of his game.

A wise decision some would say… leave while at the top with all your dignity intact.

If he wins this year’s cross country title, he then would surpass Joel Bharat of First Citizens who won the cross country title three times and would be even with the likes of Lander Rodney and Curtis Cox – two four times winners also.

If he stays on for 2011 to run for his last championship then he set himself apart as being the only person to win 5 times in a row.

What do you think…. Should he stick around and make sure the standard of running in the financial services sector improves before he goes… that way he continue to make a contribution in keeping a high standard and showing the way forward. Or do you think he is very magnanimous and noble and it is the best thing he could do.

What is your take on this?
