Miss CariFin 2013
RBC Royal Bank (Trinidad and Tobago) Limited
“Energetic, full of life and loves a challenge”, that’s how Coryse Beckles, RBC’s representive for Miss CariFin 2013 describes herself. Coryse is 29 years of age and hails from “St Julien Village, Princes Town”. She has been employed with RBC Royal Bank (Trinidad and Tobago) Ltd., for the past six years at our High Street Branch and is currently pursuing her Bachelor in Arts and Business Administration at CTS College.
Coryse firmly believes that wellness and physical fitness, including the spiritual, emotional and mental wellbeing of an individual represent a holistic approach to life. She is passionate about promoting wellness as a healthy lifestyle that everyone should adopt.
Growing up and competing in running at primary school sports started off her active lifestyle. This was then spring boarded by her attending August vacation camps which allowed her the opportunity to travel throughout Trinidad. As a teenager she became a junior coach, allowing her to impart the knowledge she had gained in the said camps she grew up in. Thereafter, as a member of the Trojets Sports Club she participated in athletics, gymnastics and netball and to this day continues to fit time into her busy schedule to participate in aerobics, Boot Camps, Zumba and running.
Outside of sports her hobbies are dancing, looking at old movies, as well as spending time with her extended family in the country, where sometimes on a Sunday they enjoy playing a game of cricket, football, netball or riding their bikes in the road. They will at times go up to the Devil’s Woodyard where they have a wider area to have fun in the fresh air. This keeps them busy and healthy and the younger children away from the television and trouble.
Coryse believes that CariFin is an excellent opportunity to bring all the financial intuitions together in the spirit of competition and also to have fun and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
