Verna St Bernard:
Scotiabank 2013 Ms Carifin Participant. Ever wanted to combine healthy living into your everyday lifestyle? Verna St Bernard, Scotiabank’s Ms Carifin participant does just that. She is able to go to school and work part-time and still leave room in her daily schedule for exercising and eating right. Verna was born on August 28th 1992 and currently lives in Diego Martin. She has been permanently employed at Scotiabank for exactly one year now. She joined the bank’s Contact Center in November 2011 and became permanent May 2012 and has been an excellent performer contributing positively to the institution since then. It’s clear that she has a passion for a healthy lifestyle because even though her schedule is packed between working at Scotiabank and completing a Double Major in English Literature and Communications at The University Of The West Indies she still manages to make time for exercising or simply getting active. She frequently jogs around the Q. P. Savannah , Chaguaramas or on the Macqueripe stretch. When she is not outdoors hiking or doing a nature trail, she’s doing a myriad of exercises from high intensity interval training to pilaties and even yoga to name a few. If nothing else, we can take from Verna her view that health and fitness is attained via a lifestyle choice. Everyday practices that can become habits is what makes the difference.
