Ms. Carifin 2018

Miss CARIFIN Fitness Pageant 2018

It was a fun-filled, talent-packed, exciting showing at the final leg of the Miss CariFin competition 2018. It took place during CariFin’s annual Fun and Family day held at Sevilla Golf Course on May 20th.

The entire competition spanned the entire games – from the one lap to the Fun and Family day. Each queen was expected to participate in as many events as possible leading up to the grand finale. They were also required to take part in various events on the day. The true test came at the dance-off, fitness fashion show and the question and answer segment. The ladies all did great, but there can only be one winner. After the judges completed the gruelling task of combining and tallying all scores, the results were as follows:

1st place – CBTT – Cadajah Spencer

2nd place – First Citizens – Stacyanne Jack

3rd place – Republic Bank Limited – Kadesha Charles

4th place – ANSA Financial Services – Aprill Lewis

We spoke with some of the contestants about their experience and this is what they had to say;

Cadajah Spencer:

“Going into Miss CariFin competition 2018, I had a personal quote saying ” I was born to win, but to be a winner I must plan to win, prepare to win and expect to win. So being crowned the queen was a feeling of excitement and something I was eager to explore. I was confident and cheerful that if I prepared myself both mentally and physically I would be successful at achieving the goal of winning. It was an overwhelming and memorable experience.”

Kadesha Charles:

I am very grateful for the CariFin experience. I felt as though I gave it my all and did my best. The entire experience challenged me as I pushed myself out of my comfort zone to try new things, made new friends along the way and learned how to dance. I truly got the full CariFin experience because I got to participate in all the events and had the opportunity to be queen as well. The walk took a lot out of me after having to participate in the dance off and the aerobics but I still did my best. I really did have fun on the day and so did my entire family.”

Stacyanne Jack:

“My experience at Miss CariFin was superb! Although the fitness aspect of the competition was challenging due to my injury I had a fantabulous time!!!! It was great to see supporters come out and cheer on their respective queens. I even made some new friends.  Overall the day was definitely an example of the CariFin’s theme “fun, friendship and fitness”. I have no regrets and would definitely do it again.”

Aprill Lewis:

“Although I was the 3rd runner-up, it was a wonderful experience, and I had a really great time so much so that I am still very tired lol.”

We would like to congratulate Miss CariFin 2018 – Cadajah Spencer and all the ladies who took part in the completion.  We look forward to continued support as we move forward into the CARIFIN Games 2019.
