The Buzz Report
Nikosi Mc Leish will skip the CariFin Urban Challenge as he promised last year. So look out for him only at Sevilla for the men’s cross country 2011.
If he manages to win the men cross country race he would be the only person in the history of the event to win it 5 times in a row.
This opens up the door or gives some other person the gracious opportunity to taste victory and probably be more motivated to go on to better things. Essentially it has the look and feel of “passing the baton”
Last year female winner of CariFin cross country was seen taking a training run with members her club – The Trinidad and Tobago Road Runners Club preparing for the upcoming season and CariFin 2011.
She was part of a contingent of Road Runners athletes approaching the Savannah from Long Circular doing part of their Saturday morning routine.
If she wins this year’s cross country it would put her in the enviable position of winning this event for a 3rd straight time. Injury or movement away from working in the financial sector prevented her predecessors from scoring a perfect 3.
Just in John Donaldson just completed the ING Miami Marathon …. In a sub 4 hours time… He did in approximately 3.36 ….Congrats again to John.
The date for the last 2 CariFin events is still hanging as the committee, hasn’t met or decided on the schedule date of the games. Something no doubt should be sorted out by the end of the week.
Hey guys I am starting this quick update series called “The Buzz Report”, covering the training, performance or fast breaking news of CariFin people. If you have any news just email or be a guest writer and submit something for the blog…. Let keep things going with fresh and up to date content.
